Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the NetPilot app in any way, you acknowledge that you agree to these terms of use in full. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the app.
Service description
NetPilot is an Android app that provides tools for managing router settings, viewing devices connected to your network, tracking internet usage, measuring Wi-Fi signal strength, testing internet speed, and displaying network information with simplified explanations. The app does not require creating an account or logging in to use its features.
License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your personal devices for its intended purposes only. This license does not grant you any right to:
- Resell the app or any part of it, or sublicense it to another party.
- Attempt to decompile the app or extract its source code, except to the extent permitted by law.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harms other parties or networks you do not have permission to access.
User responsibilities
When using the app, you agree to:
- Only use the router management tools on networks you own or have explicit permission to manage.
- Take responsibility for any changes you make to router settings through the app.
- Not use the app for any malicious activity, such as attempting to breach or spy on other people's networks.
- Voluntarily grant the required permissions (such as location for Wi-Fi), understanding that some features may not work without them.
Third-party services & ads
The app relies on third-party services such as Google AdMob for displaying ads, and Firebase for sending notifications. These services are subject to their own providers' terms of use and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for the content of ads shown through these networks or for the practices of these third parties beyond their integration with the app.
Warranty disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or the full accuracy of measurements (such as speed test results or signal strength) which may be affected by factors beyond our control, such as network quality or the device used.
Limitation of liability
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use of the app, including but not limited to any unintended change to router settings that leads to a service interruption, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Changes to the app & terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the app at any time without prior notice. We may also update these terms of use from time to time, and any update will be posted on this page with the "last updated" date above revised accordingly.
Termination of use
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We also reserve the right to restrict access to certain features if they are used in a way that violates these terms or harms other users or the service providers connected to the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the developer's place of business, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may be entitled to under your own country's consumer laws.
